With a set of the 1688 small plates in contemporary calf binding. Spine gilt lettering dulled but attractive. Not a reprint from the frequently used text of the 1711 edition. The first 12 mo edition. Original leather , the boards well kept withthe spine expertly rebacked in the 1700's wutg gukt decirated abd ryked raused babdsm as wwell as gilt titling and date. Hinges and joints intact except rear cover as noted. Only some light foxing and staining as well as a few similar level wear point. Ex Libris plate of Milton collector Robert J Wickenheiser on front pastedown, else unmarked. The text itself is completely unmarked. The plates are the same used for the first illustrated folio edition of 1688.
