Appleton 1890 early US edition; First Printing Hardcover Very Good with no dust jacket; Quarter cloth over green paper-covered boards. There is wear at corners and edges with some soiling to boards as shown. There is a prior owner's inscription in pencil to FFEP, but no internal writing or soiling. No splitting at endpapers. Spine is slightly rolled with sun darkening, but spine lettering is bold and easily read. The book has been read, but is sound and intact. Rough cut pages without loss or tearing.
